A day after announcing that she is pregnant with her first child, Jennifer Love Hewitt continues her happiness streak with the news that there’s even more love in her life.

Hewitt and the father of her child-to-be, Brian Hallisay, both 34, are engaged to marry, PEOPLE has confirmed.

“Yes,” said her rep, “they are engaged.”

The couple were costars on the NBC series Love Bites and later reconnected while working together again on their Lifetime show, The Client List. They have been together for about 15 months.

Hewitt said she was looking forward to being comfortable during her pregnancy – riding it out in sweatpants, instead of the lingerie she often dons for TV work in her latest role as a call girl.

“This is going to sound weird, but I’ve cut down on the lingerie a lot in my own life because I wear it all the time [on TV],” she said in March. “So it’s like I don’t want to go home and even think about another cute bra and panties set. I’m over it. So I’m a soft, cozy, T-shirt or tank top and big, baggy sweatpants girl.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt is getting ready for a party of three!

The Client List actress is expecting her first child with her costar beau Brian Hallisay, E! News confirms.

“This is a wonderful time and we are looking forward to starting our family together,” the couple said in a statement.

No word yet on a due date.

Hewitt and Hallisay, both 34, first met on the set of the NBC series Love Bites, but didn’t start dating until early 2012. The pair costar in The Client List together.

This will be the first child for J.Love, who teased E! News back in 2009 about the possibility of having a baby one day.

“At some point in the future,” Hewitt said at the time, after she had just broken off her engagement to Scottish thesp Ross McCall, whom she had dated since 2005. She later dated her Ghost Whisperer costar Jamie Kennedy before the duo call it quits in 2010.

Now that Love’s shared the good news about her pregnancy, we’re thrilled for her.

Being a woman in Hollywood sounds exhausting, but Jennifer Love Hewitt has learned how to deal with the body critics.

In an interview in this month’s issue of Women’s Running magazine, Hewitt, who regularly appears in lingerie on the nighttime soap The Client List, said that only her own opinion matters when it comes to her body:

“I’m an actress, I live in L.A., I work in Hollywood. But I’ve learned that if you’re too skinny, they’ll say something about it. If you’re not skinny enough, they’ll say something about it. I just try to feel good in my own skin as much as I can.”

This isn’t the first time the actress has spoken out about body image. After “unflattering” pictures of her wearing a bikini were mocked in the media back in 2007, she posted on her personal blog: “I know what I look like, and so do my friends and family. And like all women out there should, I love my body. To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini — put it on and stay strong.”

In 2009, she told SHAPE magazine: “In the morning, before I leave the house, I say five things I love about myself, like ‘You have really pretty eyes.’ That way I can go out into the world with that little bit of extra confidence.”

More recent quotes confirm that she definitely considers her body an asset. In March, she joked about how much she loved her breasts:

“I need, like, an insurance invitation. If somebody was like, ‘Hey, you know what? We would like to insure your boobs for $2.5 million dollars,’ I’d be like, ‘Do it. Love it! Why not?’” Hewitt told USA Today. “These things right here are worth $5 million!”
